Tom Ferreri

Tom Ferreri is widely recognized as a preeminent figure in Kentucky Workers’ Compensation defense. Tom began his practice of workers’ comp in 1972 with the Department of Labor, Division of the Special Fund. Following his time working at the State he went on to serve as a Partner at Madisonville, Kentucky based Mills, Mitchell & Turner. In 1989, Tom founded and served as Managing Member of Ferreri and Fogle, PLLC.  Under his leadership of 24 years, the firm grew into the largest workers’ compensation defense firm in the state, with offices in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, and Northern Kentucky. In January of 2014, Tom joined Ferreri Partners, PLLC as a Partner in order to deliver a focused approach to workers’ compensation defense to the friends and clients he has served through his career.

 Tom has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, has been listed among Louisville Magazine’s Best Workers’ Compensation Attorneys and has been listed in “Bests” Bar Registry of Recommended Attorneys. Tom has been an active moderator, speaker, and panel participant in many Workers’ Compensation seminars since 1972, has served on legislative advising committees, was appointed by Governor Wilkinson to the Workers’ Compensation Board Nominating Commission in 1990, and was a member of the Ad Hoc Rules Committee for Workers’ Compensation. Tom was also the first Chair of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Kentucky Bar Association.  He was an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville School of Law instructing Workers’ Compensation in 2014.  He was inducted into the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Hall of Fame in 2021.
